FACES for the Future FACES for the Future is a collaborative effort involving Children's Hospital & Research Center at Oakland, the Oakland and Berkeley Unified School Districts, and other community and academic institutions in the Bay Area. Launched in August of 2000, the three-year internship program introduces underrepresented minority high school students to the health professions, assists them in getting into educational programs of their choice, and equips them with the necessary personal skills to succeed in these and other demanding pursuits.
