I was born and raised in East Los Angeles. I struggled
through high school until my senior year when I enrolled in a design class. This is where I discovered my talents. I
continued my education in Advertising Design at E.L.A. College with plans of attending U.C.L.A. My education was interrupted
by marriage and motherhood.
During the years to follow I divorced and concentrated on raising my son. I held various
jobs working as an Engineering Aid, Draftsperson and Graphic Designer (sometimes all at once!) while continuing to take classes
whenever possible. I eventually earned a BA degree in Graphic Design. I continued to do freelance graphics and, in the early
70's, handpainted clothing designed by my sister, Olivia, for her Beverly Hills boutique, Bis and Beau, which she co-owned
with Priscilla Presley.
I've lived in San Francisco, Sacramento and am now living in West Point, located in the
foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (Calaveras County).
I am now retired and spend my time illustrating my sister's stories, oil painting, volunteering as a docent
at the Indian Grinding Rock State Park and Native American Museum and am involved in many other creative projects. This is
the direction that the spirit has moved me.
